An update

Many apologies for the delay in an update. So, I spent a couple days in Council Bluffs, IA (small town across the Missouri River from Omaha, NE). It was interesting. Not a big town, but they had a couple casinos. I spent a bad weather day at the Harrah's riverboat casino. Only walked away down $10 (thanks to a lucky pull on a slot that was worth $55).

On the 3rd night there was reported freezing rain and freezing drizzle. I poked my head outside the hotel to see what was going on in my vicinity. It was freezing drizzle and within about 30 seconds I heard/saw a 12 passenger van spin out and do a couple 360's down the interstate. I hung out for a bit and watched other cars spin out. after about 15min I saw a pickup spin out, hit the guardrail and fall down the 3oft enbankment. I ran over to see if the people were alright (they were) and since they left to get a hotel room, I figured someone should probably wait for the firetrucks/police to show up. They were there in a few minutes and I let them know that the people who crashed the truck were fine and in a hotel.

A day or two later I was finished and headed off to Columbia, MO. It was a quick 2.5hr flight. Had a quiet night the first night. The second night another NSA pilot rolled in. We had a few exotic beers at a bar called The Blue Fugue. When the shitty band showed up, we split.

I got word tonight I'm headed to Lexington, KY next. It's supposed to be snowing tomorrow, so we'll see if I make it there. My good friend and mustache-enthusiast Phil let me know that Lexington's a pretty cool town, so I'm a little more excited about going. I'll toss some pics up either later tonight or tomorrow.... or whenever I feel like it.
