OSU and Decatur, IL

Well, I just knocked out 7.3 hours of flying. We got a late start this morning, leaving Genesee Co. Airport at 9:25. Headwinds killed us going to our first fuel stop in Ohio. We landed at OSU Airport in Columbus, OH after flying for 4 hours. My bladder wanted to murder me... but it didn't.

We left OSU at around 2:45. I wanted to punch Lockheed Martin flight service in the face. I file for my IFR flight, and they decided not to put in the route I told them and put it in as direct. Fuck that. So instead I had to spit out a 300 mile long clearance to ATC. Fun.

The flight to Decatur was about 45min quicker than the previous leg, and we were pretty glad to put rubber to pavement at 5:10pm.

I'm off to eat. Tomorrw we fly 700-some-odd miles to Denver.

xoxo
